Thousands of farm stands operate across America, growing real food for real people — and most of them are nearly impossible to find. StandScout exists to fix that.
The idea for StandScout came from a simple frustration: the local food economy is enormous — but it's invisible to the people looking for it. Farmers spend their days growing incredible things, and shoppers drive right past them because there was no reliable way to know they existed.
Farmers markets have apps. Grocery stores have apps. But the small family farm stand on the county road? The hobby farm selling eggs at the end of their driveway? The flower farmer running a seasonal pop-up? They had nothing. Just a hand-painted sign and word of mouth.
StandScout was built to be that digital front door — for every stand, everywhere. A place where farmers can list what they're selling today, update their hours from their phone, and actually be found by the customers who are already looking for them.
We built it for the farmer who puts out a dozen egg cartons each morning and hopes someone stops. We built it for the shopper who wants local food but doesn't know where to start. And we built it free — because access to tools like this shouldn't depend on your budget.
Make every farm stand in America discoverable — so no fresh food goes unsold and no local shopper drives past what they're looking for.
That's it. That's the whole mission.
Listing your stand on StandScout is and will always be free. No subscription, no "freemium" bait-and-switch, no premium tier required to show up in search.
Shoppers browse the map for free. Farmers list for free. Direct messaging between shoppers and farmers is free. We make money when the platform grows — not by taxing the farmers who use it.
Most farm stands run on thin margins and seasonal income. We built StandScout to be useful without any ongoing cost to the people growing the food. Accessibility is the point.
